Meeting the needs of all learners JAWS

Please find below the details of a JAWS event taking place in Jakarta. It is focused around developing strategies and classroom practice which meets the needs of all learners. As always if you are interested in attending please arrange a meeting to discuss this with Mr Gordon.

British School Jakarta will be hosting a Meeting the need of all learners JAWS on Friday 24th - Saturday 25th February 2017.

The JAWS is targetted at 
  • Whole school leaders for SEN, Inclusion, EAL and the More Able
  • Heads of Faculty and Department
  • Classroom practitioners
Some suggested topics includes
  • Stretch and challenge for G&T students
  • Working effectively with Classroom Assistants
  • Attitude to learning, barriers to learning?
  • Using formative assessment to inform teaching and learning
  • The role of the Year Leader is supporting progress for all
  • Using data effectively to inform teaching and learning
  • Using the NASSEA Assessment Framework with EAL learners
  • Using TESMC and TYMC to support teacher professional learning
  • Practical strategies for managing multilingual classrooms
  • Differentiation - what is it? What is it not? What does it look like in action?
