Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School will be hosting at Literacy Across the Curriculum JAWS on Saturday 4th November 2017.
The JAWS will focus on integrating the teaching of literacy into subjects other than English with a focus on
- Ensuring Book Week have a real impact on literacy across the curriculum
- Teaching syntax in the Business Studies classroom
- Effective, cross school, marking policies
- The importance of literacy in subjects other than English
- Transition from primary to secondary and explicit grammar instruction
- Effective EAL support and interdepartmental collaboration at all Key Stages
- The role of independent reading in developing literacy skills
