Meeting the needs of all learners JAWS

Please see below the details of a JAWS CPD event taking place in Jakarta. If you are interested in contributing and attending the JAWS session please speak to your team leader and arrange a meeting with Mr Gordon. 

British School Jakarta will be hosting a Meeting the need of all learners JAWS on Friday 24th - Saturday 25th February 2017.

The JAWS is targeted at 
  • Whole school leaders for SEN, Inclusion, EAL and the More Able
  • Heads of Faculty and Department
  • Classroom practitioners
Some suggested topics includes
  • Stretch and challenge for G&T students
  • Working effectively with Classroom Assistants
  • Attitude to learning, barriers to learning?
  • Using formative assessment to inform teaching and learning
  • The role of the Year Leader is supporting progress for all
  • Using data effectively to inform teaching and learning
  • Using the NASSEA Assessment Framework with EAL learners
  • Using TESMC and TYMC to support teacher professional learning
  • Practical strategies for managing multilingual classrooms
  • Differentiation - what is it? What is it not? What does it look like in action?
