Academic Language and the English Language Learner

North London Collegiate School, Jeju is proud to host the Academic Language and the English Language Learner JAWS on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd April 2017 JAWS/Conference.

The focus of this JAWS will be on:

• Helping ELLs develop academic language across the curriculum
• Scaffolding and differentiation in mainstream classrooms

Keynote speaker, Dr. Diana Hicks will be addressing participants on the topic of "Accessing, recognising and reproducing academic language - the importance of context."  Dr. Hicks is a trainer/consultant and textbook writer for Cambridge University Press and has worked with teachers and students in more than 40 countries.
