EAL CPD Opportunity

Dear Colleague,

 

Please find details attached about an exciting opportunity to train your EAL Specialists to deliver the NASSEA ‘Language, Literacy & Learning’ CPD course in your school. This is NASSEA’s first time delivering this course in Asia, which is why it is being offered at the price of only ¥5,000RMB (£580GBP).

 

We are running two simultaneous courses: one for Primary EAL Specialists and one for Secondary EAL Specialists. If this is something your school would be interested in, please let Jessica or I know as soon as possible to reserve a place and indicate a phase preference. We only have a limited number of spaces on each course to keep the class sizes small.

Go! Group meeting- 26th September

In an effort to try something new and increase Go! Group participation, I will be running a Go! Group meeting roughly once a month after school on a Wednesday or Thursday this year. Each department will be asked to send one volunteer each time so that this task is not too onerous on one person.

We will also closely follow the topics led by Barry in his Monday CPD sessions. This first meeting will be about lesson starters. Please come with at least one great example of a lesson starter that your department discussed at your last team meeting.

It will be a short and tightly run meeting as I appreciate people are giving up time after school to attend.

Meet at 2.30pm in Room E202 on Wednesday 26th September.

Garden International School Bangkok will be holding three days of training aimed at Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 Leaders and Teachers. 

This will be held from Thursday 13th September to Saturday 15th September at our school in Sathorn, Bangkok. 

This training will be delivered by the Early Excellence team, who are based in the U.K. It will cover the following topics:

PE CPD revision

Apologies, but please ignore the previous email.  The correct date for the HoPE Conference is Wednesday 19th - Thursday 20th September with additional PD on Friday 21st.
